This battle was between Duke William II (Norman-French Army) and King Harold II (English Army). As all wars, in the battle field they found a lot of confusion and with all the confusion Harold received an arrow in one eye.
The battle finished and William became king of England.
My opinion
I don't like violence, wars, and all those things. I think that any problem can be solved with a talk, but I also know that they used to solve problems with violence, and I mean every problem, even love problems were solved with a fight.
I didn't remember all this part of history, actually I have a really bad memory talking about dates, events and names in some cases. I discovered the "Bayeux Tapestry" that it's a piece of fabric with all this battle, maybe you can think: a piece of fabric? But it's really beautiful. It is very detailed, the grass, eyes, also all dead people, people without head, arms, etc.
